United “Early Retiree” Plan

Rates for those State employees who retire on or after October 1, 2008:
            Individual:       $789.76 per month
            Family:         $2,197.33 per month

State-Subsidized Rates for those employees who retired between 7/1/89 – 9/30/2008:
            Individual:       $501.68 per month
            Family:         $1,406.39 per month

United “Value” Plan

Effective October 1, 2008, the new United "Value Plan" for retirees under age 65 is available. This plan provides less coverage than the Early Retiree Plan, at a reduced cost. Please note that for those retirees with a retirement date prior to October 1, 2008, the Value Plan costs the same as your current plan and provides less benefits for you and your spouse. The Value Plan is thus an option that should be considered by employees who retire after October 1, 2008.

            Family:         $1,406.39 per month
