2016 Short Plan Year:
July 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016
The State will be conducting a short plan year for the second half of 2016 in order to align all of its employee benefits with the calendar year. There will be another Open Enrollment period this fall for the 2017 plan year (January 1, 2017 - December 31, 2017).
Below you will find the co-share charts for the medical/pharmacy, dental and vision coverage offerings for the short plan year.
2016-2017 Rewards for Wellness Program
The 2016-2017 Rewards for Wellness program year kicks off on July 1, 2016. The first activity, which is to obtain an annual preventive exam, began on January 1, 2016. If you have already had a preventive exam this year that was processed through the UnitedHealthcare claims system, you have already completed the first activity! If you have not already had a preventive exam this year, do so before December 31, 2016 in order to earn the $100 co-share credit incentive.*
The second and third activities utilize the exciting "Rally" platform offered by UnitedHealthcare through its www.myUHC.com website. If you have not already registered to use www.myUHC.com, please do so today. You will need to register in order to enjoy the interactive Rally experience beginning in July.
In the coming weeks you will see additional communications from the Office of Employee Benefits and UnitedHealthcare related to the 2016-2017 Rewards for Wellness Program. There will be emails, PayStubRI notifications, and a program brochure mailed directly to your home. Please keep an eye out!

*All State of Rhode Island employees are eligible to participate in Rewards for Wellness programs and screenings, but only employees who are paying the State employee medical co-shares that are posted at www.employeebenefits.ri.gov are eligible to receive the co-share credit incentives.
